Newcastle United defender Fabricio Coloccini is set to miss the derby with Sunderland.

Coloccini has no chance of facing Norwich on Wednesday and the Sunderland showdown at St James' Park three days later will also come too soon.

"Colo is progressing well but he won't make those two games," said Toon chief Alan Pardew.

"We're probably looking at the week after next."
