Newcastle consider bid for AIK striker Mohamed Bangura

Newcastle United are tracking AIK Solna striker Mohamed Bangura.

The People says Bangura is up for sale at Swedish club AIK Solna - and up for grabs for around £1.2m. The Sierra Leone hitman has been watched by the Toon for a couple of months and now his team will sell the 22-year-old.

Bangura would probably qualify for a work permit on appeal despite his country's lowly FIFA ranking - and the price on his head may appeal to owner Mike Ashley.

AIK were going to offer Bangura a new deal, but they have decided to cash in - with Spanish side Mallorca also keen.
