Newcastle United have the inside-running for Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano.

Toon chiefs Denis Wise, Tony Jimenez and Jeff Vetere have been tracking the prolific Brazilian in recent weeks.

The Evening Chronicle says if United decide they are ready to throw their hat into the ring they will have a head start because of Jimenez's connections in Seville, from where he was the one who lured Juande Ramos to Spurs.
