Newcastle Jets coach Branko Culina is expecting a tough contest from Perth Glory in Round 3 of A-League action. The Jets, who have broken two records in the first two rounds this season, travel to Western Australia for Sunday's clash at Members Equity Stadium and Culina is hoping for a third record against a very competitive Glory outfit.
"It's an interesting stat, because we'd never won our first game of the season and we did that," Culina said.
"There was another statistic where we'd lost our last five games on the road and we avoided that.
"Let's hope we can avoid this statistic in Perth as well.
"I'm expecting a very difficult game, they're fairly desperate and there's pressure on them, because the expectation on Perth is quite high considering the personnel they've acquired," Culina added.
"We've got to make sure we're ready for it. We need to put them under pressure early on in the game and make sure that it stays like that, because they'll be feeling the pinch.
"If things don't go their way that could frustrate them, so we need to take full advantage of that situation."
