Newcastle United coach John Carver was gunning for Callum McManaman at halftime of their defeat to Wigan Athletic, it has been revealed.
The Daily Star says Carver had to be stopped from attacking McManaman after his horror lunge put Massadio Haidara in hospital.
Newcastle's assistant manager and Wigan coach Graham Barrow were both sent off after a furious touchline bust-up at half-time.
Carver was incensed by the challenge and attempted to confront McManaman as he came off at half-time.
The row continued in the tunnel where Wigan coach Barrow got involved.
