West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon is close to joining Newcastle United.
The Venezuelan was due for a medical on Sunday.
Rondon will be loaned to the Magpies for the season, with Dwight Gayle heading in the other direction. Newcastle will pay a £2m fee for Rondon.
