Newcastle United manager Steve McClaren is playing coy on the latest transfer rumours encircling the club.
Speculation is rife that the Magpies are set to land PSV Eindhoven captain Georginio Wijnaldum and Anderlecht striker Aleksandar Mitrovic for a combined total of £28million and although there are new faces set to arrive at St James' Park, McClaren was not naming names.
"It's about getting the right players here," McClaren told Sky Sports News HQ.
"There has been a lot of speculation but we are close on one or two (deals).
"In the transfer market, you can be close or miles away, just so long as we get the right players.
"It would be nice if we could get one or two, if not we must be patient and make sure we get the right players."
