Blackburn Rovers fullback Stephen Warnock is a target for Newcastle chief Dennis Wise.

The Daily Mail says any move for the former Liverpool player, which comes six months after Kevin Keegan tried and failed to sign him, will be rejected by Blackburn manager Paul Ince and the player, who is likely to prefer Aston Villa or Manchester City, who are also monitoring his impressive performances in a new midfield role.
