Newcastle chief scout Carr: Club has attractive name on continent

Newcastle United chief scout Graham Carr says they won't have any trouble attracting major signings to the club.

Carr, who previously worked at Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur remains confident that Newcastle will still attract the players they need this summer.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "The one thing I noticed when I was with Man City and Tottenham when I was scouting in Holland and places like that is that Newcastle United has always had a big name.

"They've always had a name bigger than Tottenham or Man City, before their new owners came in, for me.

"Newcastle always had a bigger ring to it than the other teams I've worked for.

"It's a bigger attraction for me."
