Newcastle United are lining up a move for Watford striker Troy Deeney.
Deeney has been in sensational form for the Hornets in the opening weeks of the Championship and has attracted interest from the likes of Tottenham and West Ham United.
The Daily Star says Toon football chief Joe Kinnear is also keen and hopes to ease tension with fans with the capture of Deeney this week.
