Newcastle United managing director Derek Llambias has heaped praise on the success of chief scout Graham Carr.
Llambias, who plays the role of dealmaker, not talent spotter, is delighted to have Carr on board.
He told the Evening Chronicle: "He's got a passion. When you've got somebody who has their heart and soul in the club and the fans, he'll say to us: 'That's not good enough' or 'The fans won't take that'.
"He will tell us and it is a nice thing to have around us. For us he is a great find.
"He's been out there many, many years, but it's a great combination.
"Alan (Pardew), Graham and ourselves, it is a great combination.
"Long may it continue - it will roll and keep rolling. He is doing a great job."
