Newcastle United are chasing Toulouse fullback Serge Aurier.

The Sunday Express says reports suggest that Newcastle expect to bring in as many as six or seven new signings at the end of the season and Aurier is a player the Magpies would love to add.

Alan Pardew has reportedly told Mike Ashley that he believes substantial numbers of first-team ready players need to arrive at St James' Park this summer.

However, the extent of Newcastle's spending is likely to depend on departures.

In particular, Aurier's arrival could be contingent on PSG making a big-money bid to take Mathieu Debuchy back to France.
