Newcastle United are following PSG defender Mamadou Sakho.

The Sunday Sun says sources in France say that Newcastle United are one of five Premier League clubs interested in PSG defender Sakho, with Liverpool also in the hunt for his signature.

The Magpies could lose Fabricio Coloccini this summer if he pushes for a return to Argentina, and contingency plans are thought to be under way in that event, meaning Sakho stays very much on Alan Pardew's radar.
