Newcastle United are lining up a bid for Blackpool winger Thomas Ince.
The Mirror says Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is ready to fight Tottenham for Ince - armed with the cash from the sale of Yohan Cabaye.
Pardew, whose only signing this summer has been on-loan Loic Remy, has checked on England Under-21 winger Ince and is convinced he would walk into his Premier League side.
And now the Geordies are poised to meet the £8million asking price for Ince, who turned down Cardiff earlier in the window when a fee had been agreed.
Spurs are also keen on Ince, but have been hoping to force the price down.
