Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles believes that his side's impressive performance at the weekend was demonstrated by the opposition's tactics late in the game.
The home side were the brighter for the first hour, despite Manchester United missing one great chance with Anthony Martial.
When Newcastle took the league, United resorted to some long balls into the box to try and get back into the game – and that pleased Lascelles.
"They changed the way they were playing by the end," he said.
"For the majority of the game they were trying to play through us, balls in behind, and one-twos.
"Because we scored the goal they ended up just lumping it forward.
"I thought our back four were excellent at clearing and the midfield were there to win the second balls.
"Everybody was fantastic and our goalkeeper kept us in it from the start.
"It is a massive three points but now we need to keep on building on it in the next few weeks."
