Newcastle United boss Alan Shearer was happy with Kazenga Lualua's form on-loan at Doncaster Rovers.

Shearer told the Evening Chronicle: "That's what he needed. Kazenga needed to go out and play games.

"Probably next season some of the other youngsters need to do that as well. Kazenga will come back a better player for the experience.

"But he's done well when he's been with the first team.

"He's been training with us, and he's looked like a good player, he's been decent."
