Newcastle United boss Alan Shearer has shrugged off talk of Joey Barton being sold this summer.

Bolton Wanderers have confirmed their interest and the Evening Chronicle says Portsmouth and Blackburn are also potential suitors.

Shearer said: "What happens, happens.

"There are more important things to talk about, such as trying to get three points from Middlesbrough."
