Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew says Papiss Cisse is primed to face Wigan Athletic today.

Cisse proved the matchwinner against Europa League opponents Anzhi last week.

"Papiss is in the zone right now," enthused Pardew.

The £8million Senegal star's two last-gasp winners have taken his tally this term to a healthy 10 after a slow start.

And Pardew added: "Goals definitely change a striker's mentality. They definitely give you a lift."
