Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is keen on Burnley striker Danny Ings.
The Journal says Pardew has put the name of Burnley's England under-21 striker Ings forward for consideration as Newcastle United go hunting for a second striker to shoulder the scoring burden next season.
They have sourced several targets - with one understood to come from their favoured market in France - but Pardew has proposed Ings, who scored 26 goals as Burnley won promotion to the Premier League last term.
