Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has ruled out Haris Vuckic extending his loan at Cardiff City.

Injuries saw Pardew forced to hand Vuckic a place on the bench in the 1-0 win over Norwich City while Ryan Donaldson was also drafted in.

But when asked if Vuckic will be heading back to Cardiff this week, Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: "No chance - not with the injuries we've got.

"He's looked good in training, and I did think about putting him on."
