Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew was beaming after their shock win at Manchester United.Yohan Cabaye's goal earned Toon their first win at Old Trafford in 41 years.
Pardew said: "Today is one of the top moments in my career because we've been waiting 41 years to win here [Old Trafford]. But we will probably not get the headlines because of poor David Moyes, but we do deserve them because we were magnificent. We played to a level which was even good for us.
"Forty-one years we've been waiting to win here and it was a magnificent performance. I asked them to play differently - keep the ball and control the game.
"We made it difficult for them and they didn't have too many moments. It is a great day for this football club and its fans.
"I could still hear them singing when I was down the tunnel. Our players were conscious of that 41 years and I'm delighted it worked out for them.
"It's tough [for David Moyes]. But David is a great manager and what the fans need to do now is to stick by him. They did that with Sir Alex and I'm sure they'll do it now with David."
