Newcastle boss Pardew one game away from SACK

Alan Pardew is one game from the SACK at Newcastle United. The Sunday Express says Pardew has one more game - against Aston Villa - to avoid becoming the next victim of the Premier League managerial carnage.

Pardew, amazingly the Premier League's second longest-serving boss behind Arsenal's Arsene Wenger, is under severe pressure following five straight home defeats.

It's believed that owner Mike Ashley is ready to pull the plug on Pardew, who was appointed in December 2010, if Newcastle fail to beat Aston Villa at home next Sunday.

It will mean businessman Ashley having to bite the financial bullet after handing Pardew an eight-year contract just 18 months ago.
