Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew isn't ready to write-off Stephen Ireland.
The midfielder has been sent back to parent club Aston Villa after breaking down with injury last week.
But Pardew has confirmed to the Evening Chronicle he will reassess the Ireland situation after the summer break.
The midfielder has made it clear he wants to sign permanently with the Toon.
