Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew feels there's four Academy youngsters capable of being first teamers. He also says James Tavernier now faces a decisive season.

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew feels there's four Academy youngsters capable of being first teamers.

He also says James Tavernier now faces a decisive season.

Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: “Potentially we have four from the Academy.

“Shane Ferguson, Sammy Ameobi, Adam and Jak Alnwick who could be a first-team goalie.

“We have Tav in and around it, in what is a defining season in my opinion.”
