Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has revealed he works closely with Cardiff City's Malky Mackay in the transfer market.

Pardew will use Mackay this summer to gain knowledge in the transfer market.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "He gives me advice on Championship players and I give him advice on Premier League players, so it matches up for both myself and Malky."
