Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew knows Liverpool are keen on Demba Ba.

Pardew and Brendan Rodgers worked together at Reading and remain friends, although that relationship would be tested if Liverpool, as expected, makes a move for Demba Ba in January.

Asked if Rodgers had spoken to him about the player, Pardew said: "No I wouldn't go down that road with Brendan! But I think they (Liverpool) kind of like our players … that's fair enough!"
