Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew wants a new striker signing in January.
Pardew will meet with Toon chiefs in the coming weeks to discuss their transfer options.
The Evening Chronicle says that names expected to come up in the discussions between Pardew and United's hierarchy will be front men Bafétimbi Gomis, of Lyon, and another long-term target, Borussia Monchengladbach striker Luuk De Jong.
