Speaking from Newcastle’s Tenerife training camp where the squad are preparing for this weekend’s tricky FA Cup tie at Brighton, Pardew told the Daily Star: “If fans are a little bit concerned, they shouldn’t be.

“We’re in a fantastic position and there’s no need to panic.”
