Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew was pleased with Hatem Ben Arfa's impact in victory over Crystal Palace.
Still popular with the Geordie support, the Frenchman has had an outside chance of reaching the France World Cup squad.
Pardew said: "I said before the game he needs to contribute with assists and goals and he delivered. He didn't get much time to do that and he still delivered for us. I'm hoping he can have a big impact between now and the end of the year and can have a big up period."
