Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew was full of praise for Eden Hazard after his hat-trick in Chelsea's 3-0 win yesterday.

Pardew thought Hazard's second goal imbued 'class' and he showed why he is a 'top player'.

"He's got a great platform. He has a strong base behind him with the likes of Nemanja Matic," Pardew said.

"Chelsea give him the stability to go and create damage. His second goal was real class.

"He was at the top of his game and his workrate and everything about him was excellent and that's why he is a top player."
