Newcastle United hope to strike a loan deal for Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha in January.
The Mirror says boss Alan Pardew wants to take the former Crystal Palace winger on loan and has asked David Moyes to let him have the top prospect.
Zaha's Old Trafford career has made a slow start , with Moyes leaving him on the fringes and even putting him in the Under-21 side yesterday.
Moyes may let Zaha out for games in the New Year if his situation does not improve - and the Toon think they are first in the race despite big rival interest.
