Newcastle boss Pardew in glowing tribute to Norwich's Hughton

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has paid tribute to Norwich City counterpart Chris Hughton.

Toon beat Norwich yesterday.

Pardew, initially an unpopular choice to replace the man who took Newcastle back into the Premier League, said: "Both of us could look each other in the eye and say we have done a decent job at Newcastle.

"Now he has a different project, and a tough one because Norwich - second year in - have not really had too much investment in the team. It's tough.

"But they have got some good players and had some great results last season."
