Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew hasn't given up on Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis.
The Daily Mail says Pardew watched Lyon against Real Sociedad as he considers reviving interest in Gomis and a bid for Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff.
Pardew was joined by Joe Kinnear and Graham Carr in France as they ponder their next move with Paris St Germain and Arsenal keen to sign Yohan Cabaye.
Gomis was not in the squad but Gourcuff, a long term target of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, played the full 90 minutes.
