Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is excited by what he has seen from new signing Yohan Cabaye.
The French title winner with Lille demonstrated "quarter-back-style" organisational skills against Serie A outfit Fiorentina and Pardew feels Cabaye's presence is imperative this term.
Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: "What I said at the start of the pre-season was we were changing our style.
"When you have somebody like Yohan you can change the tempo of the game.
"He is going to be very important for us. His range of passing will be invaluable to us this season."
