Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is excited about their summer market plans.
Pardew is hoping to be judged on his work in the transfer market this summer and will be keen to put his own stamp on the team after a full pre-season schedule which includes a tour of the US.
He told the Evening Chronicle: "This summer is an opportunity to give this team a new look and that's what we intend to do.
"We need to add a bit more pace to the side. And we need to add more energy in certain areas in order to get a team capable of competing in the top 10 of this division."
