Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is delighted with the progress of Papiss Cisse this season.

He still needs four more goals to equal his 13-goal haul for the Magpies last season, but Pardew is pleased with his performances.

"He's still had a great year for us - without the goals," he said.

"In some respects he's played a lot better for us this year, his game has improved.

"He just hasn't got the goals and they haven't broken for him.

"That goal will do him the world of good."
