Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has confirmed an injury setback for Rolando Aarons.

Aarons isn't expected back from a hamstring injury until January.

Pardew said: "He has had a little setback. We will have to wait and see on that.

"We have to make sure we get him through and ready to go. He's a young lad. We think because he's a young lad and he's still growing the hamstring issue is so delicate.

"We are going to have to make sure we get him across the line for the New Year.

"He is a very exciting player and to be honest I have missed him. I am putting a lot of pressure on the medical department that I don't miss him again."
