Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is confident of Yohan Cabaye's commitment.

Pardew is convinced the France midfielder has put his failed move to Arsenal behind him.

"You can just tell he's in a place where he has turned a corner," said Pardew.

"He is a very focused person. The players really like him, so do the staff and so do I. We were willing and wanting him to stay."
