Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew insists he's not under pressure after defeat at Sunderland.
Pardew was asked if he had spoken to Mike Ashley in the aftermath of derby day defeat.
He said: "We had a brief message to each other.
"But it was all in the right manner.
"He wants to win and so do I."
And when asked about the derby clash, he said: "That can happen in football.
"I genuinely believe we were the better team but we got beat.
"But it is a result that carries a great deal of emotion in this city.
"And you have to accept it."
