Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew says Hatem Ben Arfa is reaping the rewards from listening to those around him.

Pardew had praise for the way Ben Arfa had adapted his game for the Premier League.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "I am highly delighted with Hatem - and he should be happy for himself.

"He's had to listen. And he's had to be patient.

"I have been drilling things into him."
