Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has no doubts about Steven Taylor as the defender struggles to make a first team return.
Taylor has been linked with a loan move away this month.
Pardew said: "He's 27 going on 43. He's got no problem in this game if he plays.
"I would say he's been a little bit more low-key because he's kind of an infectious personality normally. He's been a bit more sullen, which you would expect because he's not been playing and you want to play.
"He's been a little bit different this week when a door has opened.
"He hasn't actually gone through the door yet but if he does go through the door I would expect him to be his normal self. I've been pleased with his attitude. He's been good, I've got no problem."
