Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is seeking new striker signings.

Pardew is gearing up for a busy summer in the transfer market with a new hitman topping his priority list.

And he said: "The strikers have been a problem for me this year. When Demba Ba went we didn't really have two strikers that were going to affect the game. Next year I hope we can solve that problem.

"We're not targeting a certain market, just quality players.

"But experience is going to be important.

"I've identified who I would like but getting these players over the line is difficult. We're going to be in competition with Spurs and Liverpool for these players - and maybe the top four as well."
