Newcastle boss Pardew admits Cabaye upset with West Brom hook

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew admits Yohan Cabaye was upset after being substituted in their draw at West Bromwich Albion.

Frustration was evident on Saturday afternoon when Pardew deliberately hooked his captain Cabaye during the closing stages at the Hawthorns.

Pardew explained: "Yohan got upset and I had to take him off because he was booked already. We can't afford to lose players.

"The frustration we've got is that we know that our results should have been stronger."
