Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew admits Hatem Ben Arfa could be ruled out for the season.

French winger Ben Arfa could be out for the rest of the season if Toon decide he needs an operation on a troublesome hamstring injury.

Pards said: "It's a shame for Hatem because we went down this process of not operating and now that's an option we might need to take.

"We can't put him at risk even if we get to a Europa League final."
