Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren is planning a double raid on West Ham United.
The Daily Star Sunday says McClaren has joined the scramble for Hammers winger Stewart Downing.
And the new Newcastle boss also remains in the hunt for Downing's Hammers team-mate Andy Carroll.
But owners David Gold and David Sullivan want to keep Carroll at West Ham.
