Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren says Florian Thauvin remains their player.

Thauvin has been linked with a loan move to Olympique Marseille.

McClaren said: “There's a lot of noise coming from Marseille.

“He's our player. He hasn't settled and adapted as quickly as we wanted, or he wanted, or played as many times.

“So that's frustrating for him.

“He's our player and we believe in his potential."
