Newcastle United boss Joe Kinnear is eyeing three mystery Scandinavian trialists.
The Sunday Sun says the trio of Norway and Sweden Under-21 internationals - recommended to Kinnear by veteran Norwegian agent Rune Hauge - are seen as potential long-term investments, rather than players to be pitched into Newcastle's relegation battle.
"Three youngsters will play," said Kinnear. "All three of them are Under-21 internationals. Two play for Norway and one for Sweden.
"One is a centre-back, one is a left-back and the other is a midfielder.
"We will take a look at them. But I am not thinking about them for the first team."
