Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan is determined for his squad to be the fittest in the Premiership.

Former player Robbie Elliott and Mark Hulse have joined Keegan's staff and he said: "The boys are working really hard.

"We might not be the most skilful side in the Premier League because there are some great sides and we might not have the biggest squad, but there's no reason why we won't be as fit as everyone else.

"I told all the staff when I came in that one thing you have to be in the Premier League is very, very fit and the onus has been on that."
