Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan admits he's staying clear of new contract talks with Michael Owen.

"Contracts aren't my department," he told the Sunday Sun.

"I've had a chat with Michael but I don't do any of the contracts anymore. In some ways I am pleased about that.

"It might be difficult for the players but I have to tell them what my role is in the club - to say: 'Go to Chris Mort and sit down with him and Dennis Wise because they do the financial side of things.'"
