Newcastle boss Keegan hints at Carroll Man Utd chance

Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan has hinted Andy Carroll could be involved for this weekend's clash with Manchester United.

Keegan told the Evening Chronicle: "Andy didn't play on Monday because I've got him in the first-team squad and we didn't want him to get injured.

"He's done very well - I like him.

"He gives us something different to what we've got in the forward department.

"And that's why he's involved."

Reserve team coach Adam Sadler said: "Andy has got four goals in four games since returning from Preston on loan and has been pushing for a first-team chance.

"It would be great if he can do that at some stage."
